Job summary

Anduril Industries in Chantilly, VA is seeking Software Engineers to join our Space Special Programs team. You will develop flight, ground test, and ground station software across embedded and host levels, interfacing with spacecraft systems, RF, machine learning, and data platforms.

Work with cross-functional teams to prototype, verify, and qualify software, apply spaceflight standards for reliability, and migrate code from firmware bring-up to flight implementations while maintaining security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE or equivalent engineering field.
• 2–8 years of software development experience with embedded and/or host-side focus.
• For embedded roles: ability to read VHDL and write C.
• For host-side roles: experience with GUI, databases, and high-level languages.
• Ability to read schematics and familiarity with interfaces (Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, MIPI CSI-2).
• Experience with cross-platform compilers and toolchains.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design market-leading space flight hardware and ground equipment with cross-functional teams.
• Prototype, verify, and qualify software components for flight and ground systems.
• Apply spaceflight software standards for fault detection, error checking, data redundancy.
• Implement mission functionality across high-speed digital, RF, and analog designs.
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate with SWE on team capabilities.
• Determine when to use firmware bring-up and migrate to flight code.
• Perform root cause analysis to support production operations.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects.
