Job summary

Anduril Industries in Chantilly, VA seeks a Staff Software Engineer to own the full lifecycle of flight, ground, and payload software. You will architect systems across embedded and host levels, mentor a cross-disciplinary team, and coordinate with mission design and C2 interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or similar engineering/technical field.
• 10+ years software engineering experience developing embedded, host, and product-specific software.
• 3+ years leading a software engineering team on small spacecraft.
• Experience developing subsystem requirements and reusable software architectures.
• Experience writing embedded C code, device drivers, and algorithms with limited resources.
• Experience host-level GUI, database interaction, and protocol interfaces.
• Experience on mature spacecraft programs with testing.
• Outstanding communication and design documentation skills.
• U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain DOD Top Secret clearance.

• Apply space-flight software standards for high reliability and manufacturability.
• Architect flight, ground, and payload systems to meet mission requirements.

• Translate mission needs into reusable software products and interfaces.
• Establish internal guidelines for space flight software design, testing, and operations.
• Develop and present design reviews and customer-facing documentation.
• Support development, integration, and test activities to meet schedule.
• Work in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple projects and customers.
