Amentum is seeking a Softgoods Engineering Technologist to design, develop, fabricate, and test softgoods for advanced space suits and related support items. You’ll collaborate with engineers and technicians, create patterns, and present design concepts with a strong focus on craftsmanship.

The role requires experience in softgoods lab environments, proficiency in CAD and Adobe Creative Cloud, and willingness to travel to NASA centers or contractor sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a HS diploma and 5 years of experience or BS in Engineering Technology or related field.
• Experience in a soft goods development lab environment with emphasis in soft goods design and fabrication.
• Proficiency utilizing CAD programs and other software's such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, fabricate, and support testing of softgoods for space suits and related items.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and designers to understand requirements for suited space systems.
• Present design concepts clearly and take ownership of design tasks to complete projects.
• Develop patterns and mockups to verify fit and function of softgoods articles.
