Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Project Scheduler to support missions at the NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA. You will create, maintain, and monitor project schedules, milestones and deliverables, working with project managers and technical staff to forecast and report on performance.

Qualifications

  • Project scheduling knowledge is a prerequisite.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Project required.
  • Ability to adapt to deadlines, changing schedules and competing priorities.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Experience presenting data to diverse audiences of managers, scientists, engineers and staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own all Project Schedule activities including development, status work, quality control, satisfaction, and performance tracking.
  • Create detailed project integrated master schedules using Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
  • Ingest schedules from internal and external project elements.
  • Perform schedule analysis focusing on task linking, logic, slack, drivers, and Critical Path.
  • Produce schedule reports for critical path, milestones and key stakeholders.
  • Forecast, track performance and provide insights with project managers and technical staff.
  • Identify and deconflict tasks, deliverables and schedule impacts.
  • Conduct monthly, annual and milestone schedule assessments and reports.
  • Interface with Government, contractors and mission partners for updates.
