Blue Origin LLC in Seattle is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead software development programs within the Lunar Permanence team. You will develop plans, track metrics, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinate with NASA and partners to deliver safe, affordable spaceflight capabilities.

The role requires 5+ years in software project management, strong communication, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience related to software development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to earn trust and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust plans of product deliveries and lead tracking of key operating metrics - including technical, cost, schedule, and risk.
• Identify and define problem statements and have enough experience to build a realistic project schedule.
• May have a budget assigned and has authority to purchase based on an approved budget.
• Work with technical leads to define program scope to create program plans.
• Work with program management toward long-range objectives without appreciable direction and resolve technical objectives of assignments to develop approaches to solutions.
• Provides regular status updates and works to resolve project discrepancies (schedule, budget, resources, etc.).
• Engage with developers on significant issues sufficiently to be able to report to senior leadership.
• In partnership with Responsible Engineers (RE) and Team Leads own the technical success of product development.
• Help run contracts and produce statements of work.
