Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, Alabama, seeks a Specialist - Production Control II (Blue Ring C Shift) to join a small team assembling and verifying space-flight components. You will help stand up material flow and inventory infrastructure, design receiving and kitting processes, and create production control rhythms for a scaling factory.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in production control, inventory management, or supply chain in manufacturing
• MRP/ERP-based work order management
• Production planning, scheduling, material coordination
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs
• Inventory control—cycle counting, floor stock, WIP tracking
• Cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, procurement, engineering
• MS Office proficiency; strong Excel for tracking/analysis
• Excellent organization, multitasking, and communication

Responsibilities

• Stand up production control and inventory infrastructure for a new facility (receiving workflows, stockroom layout, WIP staging, kitting
• Coordinate material availability to meet build requirements across prototype to production hardware
• Prepare and release work orders based on master production schedule; reconcile/close orders
• Provide status on WIP, material availability, and constraints to leadership and scheduling
• Set up material stocking strategies; maintain floor stock accuracy
• Schedule/move parts across centers and facilities; expedite as needed
• Collaborate with procurement, receiving, quality, and production to resolve shortages
• Monitor workflow and ensure builds stay on schedule
• Enter material transactions in ERP; maintain audit trails
• Coordinate MRB disposition and resolve stranded material issues
• Perform cycle counts; resolve inventory discrepancies
• Handle scrap/obsolete inventory in WIP areas; keep records clean
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity with warehouse, inspection, quality, operations, purchasing, engineering, logistics, program management
