Job summary

Barrios Technology seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design structural and mechanical components for spaceflight systems, delivering compliant models and drawings. You will apply CAD tools to create complex assemblies and work with cross-discipline teams to meet customer specs.

Responsibilities include performing preliminary analyses (FEA and hand calculations), supporting manufacturing and delivery of hardware, and maintaining clear communication with customers and teammates to ensure mission

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited school.
5 years of related engineering experience.
Experience with CAD modeling and ASME Y14.5 (GD&T).
Experience on cross-discipline engineering teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Design structural and mechanical components and assemblies for spaceflight systems.
Deliver high-quality models, documentation, and drawings that meet requirements and standards.
Perform preliminary analysis (FEA and hand calculations).
Facilitate manufacturing, assembly, and delivery of spaceflight hardware.
Establish and lead relationships with customer counterparts and key personnel to promote mission success.
Perform all other assigned duties.
