Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited school; 10 years of related engineering experience.
• Led mechanical design efforts through full product lifecycle.
• Experience with CAD modeling and ASME Y14.5 GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of structural and mechanical components and assemblies of spaceflight systems; establish technical approaches and ensure integration and performance.
• Deliver high-quality models, documentation, and drawings meeting customer requirements and standards.
• Review and approve models and drawings of other engineers.
• Perform preliminary analysis (FEA and hand calculations) to demonstrate compliance with spaceflight design standards.
• Facilitate manufacturing, assembly, and delivery of spaceflight hardware.
• Serve as primary technical interface with customers, requirements owners, suppliers, and teams to define requirements and resolve issues.
