Job summary

Barrios Technology is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for spaceflight hardware, collaborating with NASA and commercial partners, and a passion for solving complex aerospace challenges.

You will produce schematics, interface documents, BOMs, and test plans; perform analyses; lead hardware procurement and integration; and coordinate with systems, mechanical, and software teams to deliver flight-ready electronics.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of experience.
• Experience designing electrical systems from concept through hardware realization for spaceflight systems.
• Experience creating electrical schematics and engineering documentation using industry-standard electrical design tools.
• Experience selecting, integrating, and troubleshooting electrical components and hardware.
• Experience developing engineering documentation including schematics, BOMs, interface documentation, work orders, and test plans.
• Knowledge of electrical system requirements, verification methods, and hardware testing.
• Experience leading technical efforts and working on multidisciplinary engineering teams with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of electrical systems and hardware for spaceflight applications.
• Generate and maintain electrical schematics, interface documentation, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
• Perform and oversee electrical analyses to support design, integration, verification, and troubleshooting activities.
• Develop and execute verification activities, including functional and environmental testing of electrical hardware.
• Lead hardware procurement, manufacturing, assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and delivery efforts.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and test teams to integrate electrical hardware into flight systems.
• Lead requirements development, design reviews, and verification planning activities.
• Support customer presentations, technical reviews, and program milestones.
• Perform other assigned duties.
