Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, 0–5 years experience.
• Experience with mechanical system, mechanism, and electromechanical assembly design.
• CAD modeling with Creo, NX, SolidWorks, or similar.
• GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5.
• Knowledge of Windchill or other PLM tools.
• Experience creating drawings, BOMs, work orders, and test plans.
• Knowledge of mechanism design principles and motion-control systems.
• Ability to work on multidisciplinary teams with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanisms and electromechanical assemblies for spaceflight systems.
• Generate and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation in accordance with engineering standards and program requirements.
• Perform engineering analyses including hand calculations, tolerance analyses, and preliminary structural and mechanism performance assessments.
• Develop and execute verification activities, including functional, environmental, and life-cycle testing of mechanism hardware.
• Support hardware procurement, manufacturing, assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and delivery.
• Collaborate with systems, structures, avionics, software, manufacturing, and test teams to integrate mechanism hardware into flight systems.
• Participate in requirements development, design reviews, and verification planning activities.
• Support customer presentations, technical reviews, and program milestones.
• Perform other assigned duties.
