Barrios Technology in the United States seeks a Mechanical Engineer (Mechanisms) to design and develop mechanisms for spaceflight systems, generate CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role includes verification testing, integration with flight hardware, and supporting procurement, manufacturing, and program milestones while contributing to NASA and commercial spaceflight partnerships.

Formación

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution; 0–5 years of experience.
• Experience with CAD modeling: Creo, NX, SolidWorks, or similar.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and Windchill/PLM tools.
• Ability to create engineering drawings, BOMs, work orders, assembly procedures, and test plans.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop mechanisms and electromechanical assemblies for spaceflight systems.
• Generate and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and documentation.
• Perform engineering analyses including hand calculations, tolerance analyses, and performance assessments.
• Develop and execute verification activities, including functional, environmental, and life-cycle testing.
• Support hardware procurement, manufacturing, assembly, integration, and delivery.
• Collaborate with systems, structures, avionics, software, manufacturing, and test teams to integrate mechanism hardware into flight systems.
• Participate in requirements development, design reviews, and verification planning.
