Job summary

Rocket Lab in Middle River, MD is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing technologies for the Neutron Launch Vehicle structure. You will plan build and integration, develop con-ops, tooling, and build methods to increase throughput and reduce errors.

Responsibilities include supporting integration teams, creating work instructions, capturing lessons learned, and maintaining planning documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in industrial, mechanical, or aerospace engineering or related field required.
• Experience building and testing hardware for space launch vehicles or similar aerospace hardware encouraged.
• Demonstrated ability to model with 3D CAD, produce prints, and work with large assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the build and integration of Neutron and related flight hardware.
• Develop con-ops, tooling, and build methods to increase throughput and reduce errors.
• Create and refine work instructions, procedures, and documentation for non-conformances and lessons learned.
