Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a hands-on engineer to join the Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering (ACE) team in supporting fluid test laboratories for spaceflight systems. You will work closely with engineers and technicians to drive improvements in system performance and ensure safe, repeatable testing.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years' direct experience in pneumatic/hydraulic systems in test or research/development facilities.
  • Direct experience in testing complex fluid systems and components.
  • Knowledge of fluids including nitrogen, helium, hydraulic fluids.
  • Experience with CAD tools: Creo, Windchill, Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, fabricate, install and operate pneumatic and hydraulic test capabilities.
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures; perform data reduction and reviews.
  • Understand and troubleshoot fluid and instrumentation systems.
  • Perform root cause analyses and failure investigations.
  • Plan and oversee fluid systems maintenance.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and safety improvements.
  • Design, procure, and install system components; manage vendors.
