Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA seeks an experienced engineer to design and analyze pressurized and flowing fluid systems for aerospace applications. You will develop and integrate fluid components, route tubes, conduct safety analyses, and produce detailed drawings and specs.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Occasional travel and relocation support are provided.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level degree in engineering and relevant design experience.
  • Experience with pressurized fluid systems and tube routing.
  • Familiarity with pressure safety concepts and hazard analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze pressurized and flowing fluid systems from concept through production.
  • Integrate pumps, valves, fittings, and instrumentation into a larger system.
  • Design and release tube routing layouts for complex aerospace applications.
  • Ensure safe design, operation, and testing of pressurized and cryogenic systems.
  • Perform trade studies and create technical drawings and specs.
  • Support integration, testing, and troubleshooting of fluid/structure systems.
  • Interface with manufacturing, quality, and other disciplines.
  • Mentor junior engineers.

Skills

Experience with design and analysis of
Tube routing for complex systems
Pumps, valves, fittings, and tubing
Pressure system safety principles
CAD software proficiency

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
