Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced engineer to design and analyze pressurized fluid systems for spaceflight applications. You will integrate pumps, valves, fittings, and instrumentation into complex systems and develop tube routing layouts for aerospace needs.

The role requires 5–10 years of design experience in fluid systems, strong CAD skills (CREO/NX/CATIA/SolidWorks), and a commitment to safety standards. This is a hands-on, cross-functional engineering position in the United States.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of relevant design experience.
  • Experience with design and analysis of pressurized fluid systems.
  • Experience with tube routing for complex systems.
  • Knowledge of pressure system safety principles.
  • Proficient in CAD software (CREO/NX/CATIA/SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze pressurized and flowing fluid systems from concept through production.
  • Integrate pumps, valves, fittings, and instrumentation into a broader system.
  • Design and Release tube routing layouts for complex aerospace applications.
  • Ensure Safe design, operation, and test of pressurized and/or cryogenic systems.
  • Perform trade studies and create technical drawings and specifications.
  • Support integration, testing, and troubleshooting of fluid/structure systems.
  • Interface with manufacturing, quality, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
