Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Test Lead to own production electrical test strategy and execution for a high-rate production line delivering multiple vehicles per year. You will lead technicians and test engineers, drive throughput, and ensure quality while coordinating with Manufacturing, Systems, and Mission Assurance.

Responsibilities include maintaining test procedures, scripts, and calibration plans; driving test automation opportunities; and ensuring compliance with workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in electrical test with at least 2 years in lead/supervisory role.
• Experience leading electrical test in high-rate, high-complexity production environments (aerospace/defense/automotive).
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents.
• Hands-on experience with standard electrical test equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication to briefing leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day electrical test operations across production vehicles and tests.
• Own and maintain test procedures, calibration plans, and scripts.
• Drive test flow improvements to increase throughput while preserving test coverage.
• Manage a team of test technicians and test engineers; mentor and assign work.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Mission Assurance on anomalies and nonconformances.
• Maintain real-time test status visibility and report metrics (first-pass yield, defects, throughput).
• Identify and implement test automation opportunities to reduce manual effort.
• Own the GSE suite—coordinate maintenance and config control.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for failures.
• Interface with design engineering to ensure test coverage and provide feedback.
• Participate in design reviews representing test.
• Ensure compliance with standards (ESD, torque, workmanship).
