Job summary

Barrios Technology in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for spaceflight hardware. You will generate schematics, BOMs, interface docs and perform analyses to support design, verification, and integration activities.

You will collaborate with systems, mechanical, software, and test teams to ensure flight-ready electrical hardware, and participate in requirements reviews and program milestones.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering; 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience designing electrical systems from concept through hardware realization for spaceflight.
• Experience creating electrical schematics and engineering documentation.
• Experience selecting, integrating, and troubleshooting electrical components and hardware.
• Experience developing documentation including schematics, BOMs, interface documentation, work orders, and test plans.
• Knowledge of electrical system requirements, verification methods, and hardware testing.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary engineering teams with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and hardware for spaceflight applications.
• Generate and maintain electrical schematics, interface documentation, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
• Perform electrical analyses to support design, integration, verification, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and execute verification activities, including functional and environmental testing of electrical hardware.
• Support hardware procurement, manufacturing, assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and delivery.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and test teams to integrate electrical hardware into flight systems.
• Participate in requirements development, design reviews, and verification planning.
• Support customer presentations, technical reviews, and program milestones.
• Perform other assigned duties.
