Blue Origin is seeking a hardware-focused engineer to drive digital design and avionics integration for spaceflight, using FPGAs and CMOS sensors. You will specify COTS components, support ruggedized hardware development, and work with a cross-disciplinary team on qualification activities.

The role emphasizes end-to-end design, test plans, and collaboration with senior engineers to deliver flight-ready electronics for the TeraWave program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 4+ years designing ruggedized electronic components or high-reliability hardware.
• Experience with space-rated hardware development and qualification support.
• Digital design with FPGAs and CMOS sensors.

Responsibilities

• Act as hardware focal point for digital design across spacecraft bus avionics.
• Support end-to-end development for space-rated components with senior guidance.
• Collaborate on PCB interconnects and signal integrity analyses for COTS designs.
• Plan tests, reviews, and documentation for hardware qualification.
