Job summary

Blue Origin in California is seeking a Spacecraft Bus Avionics hardware engineer to own digital design and COTS integration across spacecraft bus avionics. You will design, analyze, test, and qualify avionics hardware supporting the TeraWave system, under guidance from senior engineers.

Able to work in a fast environment with cross‑functional teams; requires FPGA/CMOS experience and PCB design using Altium. B.S. in EE and US work authorization preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with digital design and high‑reliability hardware.
• Experience with space‑rated hardware design, qualification or test.
• Proficiency with FPGA design and CMOS sensors.
• Hands‑on PCB design using Altium Designer and EMI/EMC practices.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Act as hardware focal point for digital design and COTS integration across spacecraft bus avionics
• Support end-to-end product development activities for space‑rated components
• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams in a fast‑paced design environment
• Contribute to design architecture and requirements validation
• Plan and execute engineering tests and data reviews
