Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, Florida is seeking an Avionics Technical Designer to support the design and development of ruggedized electronics enclosures for the New Glenn orbital launch vehicle. The ideal candidate will have a passion for aerospace and strong technical skills, proficient with CreoView and Windchill.

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring safe human spaceflight, involving collaboration with engineering teams to validate design requirements and guide hardware installation processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent electronics packaging experience of documenting aerospace or equivalent Avionics LRUs and Sensor enclosures.
• Ability to earn trust and maintain positive relationships.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop models for ruggedized electronics enclosures.
• Create and maintain LRU and sensor installation drawings.
• Provide technical guidance during hardware installation.

Skills

Proficient with CreoView

Proficient with Windchill

Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Experience with aerospace materials

Education

A.S. degree in drafting and design
