Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Avionics Mechanical Design Engineer to advance mechanical enclosures for avionics used in spaceflight applications. You will perform structural, thermal, and vibration analyses and lead interdisciplinary design efforts through the full development cycle.

Ideal candidates have a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 7+ years of structural analysis experience with FEA tools and Creo Pro/E.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering is required.
• 7+ years of experience in structural analysis.
• Proficiency with FEA tools and 3D CAD is expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical enclosures for avionics products.
• Perform structural, thermal and vibration analyses on enclosures.
• Lead design and analysis activities across safety, flight and mission-critical systems.
• Collaborate between structural analysis and avionics teams.
• Provide guidance on hardware installation and test.
• Plan and conduct tests and interpret data.
