Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Thermal Hardware Engineer to design thermal control and protection hardware for satellites. You will direct 3D model-based engineering, create and release drawings for shielding and blankets, and lead design reviews while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and test teams.

The role requires a BS in mechanical/aerospace engineering (or related) with 2 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Creo Parametric and AutoCAD, and

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical/aerospace engineering or related discipline.
• 2 years of relevant experience; four additional years may substitute for degree.
• Proficiency in Creo Parametric and AutoCAD.
• Willingness to accommodate swing/weekend shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement thermal hardware requirements from thermal subsystem leads.
• Collaborate with cross-functional personnel to develop designs meeting requirements.
• Complete engineering design of thermal control and thermal protection hardware.
• Use Creo Parametric to develop models and drawings.
• Lead engineering change requests and notices.
• Support prototyping, manufacturing, and fit checking of thermal hardware.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and provide guidance to junior staff.
