Vast is seeking a Thermal Engineer to define the thermal control architecture for their high-power satellite bus. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of aerospace thermal engineering experience, handling both passive and active thermal control systems.

This role involves working on advanced thermal analysis for a compute-intensive satellite payload and leading the thermal engineering effort from architecture through flight delivery. The position is based in Long Beach, California and offers a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of spacecraft or aerospace thermal engineering experience.
• Experience with passive and active thermal control systems.
• Built and correlated thermal models for flight hardware.

Responsibilities

• Define the thermal control architecture for the satellite bus.
• Perform system-level thermal analysis for various payloads.
• Own the thermal budget and select thermal coatings and materials.
