Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
• 7+ years in structural analysis in space/aerospace.
• Expert proficiency with FEA software (ANSYS/NASTRAN/Abaqus).
• Experience with hand calculations for stress analysis.
• Solid fundamentals in mechanics, dynamics, and materials.
• Experience with launch/space environments (vibration, shock, thermal cycles).

Responsibilities

• Own and execute structural analysis for spacecraft components from concept to verification.
• Perform detailed FEA to model stress, strain, deformation, and modal response.
• Conduct hand calculations and develop analytical models to support FEA results.
• Analyze hardware for static, dynamic, and thermo-elastic loads.
• Support structural test plans and physical testing (loads, vibration, shock).
• Correlate analysis models with test data to improve accuracy.
• Collaborate with design engineers to improve mass and stiffness.
