Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Dulles, VA is seeking a Mechanical Structures Engineer – Level 2 or 3 to join our team on-site. The role supports spacecraft structures, payload, and antenna hardware from requirements through integration and test.

You'll perform CAD design using CREO, develop test plans, and coordinate with customers and suppliers. A bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years (Level 2) or 5 years (Level 3) and the ability to obtain government clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of professional experience depending on level.
• Ability to obtain government clearance.
• Experience with CAD software, CREO preferred.
• Ability to work on-site at Dulles or Colshire campus.

Responsibilities

• Work on Spacecraft Structures, Payload, and Antenna mechanical hardware from requirements through integration and test.
• Perform detailed design tasks using CAD and other tools to develop designs for manufacturing and assembly into spacecraft.
• Interfacing with customers, program/functional management, other engineering disciplines, and suppliers.
• Develop test plans and procedures and support structural testing at component and spacecraft levels.
• Self-motivation to provide technical solutions under general supervision.
