Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks a Satellite Structures and Configuration Engineer III to support spacecraft packaging and mechanical integration for the TeraWave bus. You will work with cross-functional teams on design, production, test, and AIT to enable a manufacturable constellation with rigorous interface control.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of spacecraft mechanical design, plus proficiency in CATIA/SolidWorks/NX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of spacecraft mechanical design and layout experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (CATIA/SolidWorks/NX).
• Mass properties analysis and management experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical interface control and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical configuration and layout for TeraWave spacecraft within the envelope.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and DMUs for structures and interfaces.
• Develop spacecraft packaging concepts optimizing mass and thermal performance.
• Support MGSE development and spacecraft interface documentation.
