Job summary

Impulse Space in Boulder County is seeking a Simulation Visualization Engineer to build tools for visualizing simulation results and camera-system models. You will work with GNC, Space Ops, Mission Design, and other teams to create high-quality renders of space vehicles executing missions.

You will emulate vision systems with high-fidelity models to enable algorithm development and testing, participate in mission rehearsals, and contribute to visualization-driven displays across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Familiarity with Unity, Unreal, or other rendering engines.
• Experience designing and developing graphical displays for spacecraft sensor data and telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Develop visualizations of vehicles executing their missions.
• Collaborate with engineers and business teams to create demonstrations of capabilities.
• Support test efforts with visualizations and intuitive displays.
• Create models of space-vehicle camera systems for vision systems development.
• Contribute to software and tool development to improve simulation workflows.
• Participate in mission dress rehearsals and on-call support.
