Job summary

Impulse Space in Boulder County is seeking a Simulation Visualization Engineer to develop and maintain tools for visualizing simulation results and models, emulating camera systems, and creating high-fidelity renders of our space vehicles in missions.

The role collaborates with GNC, Space Ops, Mission Design, Business Development, and Testbed teams to deliver compelling demonstrations and tests, leveraging Unity/Unreal and industry-standard visualization practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in modeling and simulation of physical systems.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Familiarity with Unity, Unreal, or other rendering engines.
• Experience designing graphical displays for spacecraft sensor data and telemetry.
• Experience with Git or similar version control.

Responsibilities

• Develop visualizations of vehicles executing missions.
• Collaborate with Mission Design and Business Development to create demonstrations.
• Support test efforts with visualizations and displays for intuitive understanding.
• Create models of space-vehicle camera systems for vision systems.
• Contribute to software and tool development to improve simulation workflows.
• Participate in mission dress rehearsals and operations, supporting in-situ requests.
