Job summary

True Anomaly in Denver or Long Beach is seeking a Spacecraft Simulation Software Engineer II to advance multi-physics, high-fidelity spacecraft models. You will build simulation infrastructure and libraries for 6DOF dynamics, thermal systems, attitude dynamics and control, propulsion, and power, with Python and C++ APIs.

You will work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team to design algorithms, validate results, and enable engineers to predict mission outcomes with confidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, physics, or equivalent
• 1–3 years of professional C++ experience
• Experience with Python for scripting and prototyping
• Strong object-oriented software design skills
• Ability to quickly understand new challenges and implement solutions
• Understanding of distributed systems and integration into larger workflows
• U.S. citizen and eligible for DoD clearance

Responsibilities

• Write efficient, well-structured C++ code (C++17/20) with emphasis on performance and maintainability
• Develop multi-physics simulation libraries for spacecraft modeling
• Implement coupled physics algorithms and time-stepping schemes
• Maintain APIs in Python and C++ for internal use
• Collaborate with internal teams on mission planning and analyses
• Participate in code reviews and sprint planning
