Job summary

Impulse Space is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer to own all aspects of vehicle GNC across development and operation, working with a fast-paced agile team in Boulder County.

You will implement flight, test, and analysis systems for high-performance space vehicles, develop robust control algorithms, and contribute to GNC software and simulations, mentoring others as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 2+ years of spacecraft GNC design/analysis experience.
• Proficiency in Matlab and C++; control analysis exposure.

Responsibilities

• Implement GNC flight, test, and analysis systems for space vehicles.
• Develop robust algorithms for satellites, upper stages, and landers.
• Generate GNC verification data for missions.
• Support GNC software development and simulations.
• Mentor engineers and establish best practices for GNC.
• Create tools for GNC systems to enable rapid mission realization.
• Communicate design needs and capabilities to engineering teams.
