Job summary

True Anomaly is seeking a Spacecraft Simulation Software Engineer to advance multi-physics, high-fidelity modeling for spacecraft dynamics, thermal, attitude, propulsion, and power systems. You will build simulation infrastructure, enabling engineers to design spacecraft and validate control algorithms.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional experience in C++
• Experience with Python for scripting and prototyping
• Strong understanding of object-oriented software development practices
• Ability to understand new challenges quickly and execute
• U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

• Write well-structured, efficient code using modern C++ (C++17/20) with a focus on performance.
• Develop and maintain multi-physics simulation libraries for spacecraft systems: 6DOF dynamics, thermal, attitude, propulsion, power, and sensors.
• Implement coupled-physics algorithms for subsystem interactions.
• Design time-stepping algorithms, solvers, and integration schemes for real-time simulations.
• Maintain APIs in Python and C++ for internal use and cross-team collaboration.
• Collaborate with internal teams to plan missions, run analyses, and perform trade-space studies.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high software quality and timelines.
