True Anomaly, Inc. in Long Beach is seeking a Spacecraft Simulation Software Engineer to advance multi-physics, high-fidelity models and the simulation infrastructure for 6DOF dynamics, thermal, attitude control, and power systems.

You will build reusable libraries in Python and C++, collaborate across teams to enable engineers to design spacecraft, validate control algorithms, and predict mission outcomes with confidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, physics, or related field.
• 1-3 years of professional experience in C++.
• Experience with the Python programming language for scripting.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented software development practices.
• U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD clearance.
• Ability to understand new challenges quickly and execute.

Responsibilities

• Write well-structured, efficient code using modern C++ (C++17/20), focusing on performance and maintainability.
• Develop and maintain multi-physics simulation libraries for spacecraft systems (6DOF dynamics, thermal, attitude, propulsion, power).
• Implement coupled physics algorithms capturing subsystem interactions.
• Design time-stepping algorithms, solver architectures, and integration schemes for real-time simulations.
• Maintain APIs in Python and C++ for internal use within True Anomaly.
• Collaborate with internal teams to plan missions and perform trade-space analyses.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions to maintain high software quality.
