Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Integration and Test Engineer to support the integration and validation of spacecraft components and systems, including rovers and lunar infrastructure. You will work with design and systems engineers on test plans, procedures, and readiness reviews.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of experience, CAD proficiency, and strong communication skills. Travel to off-site testing facilities may be required.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Industrial Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience integrating or testing complex electro-mechanical or fluid systems.
  • Experience with technical writing, documentation, and planning.
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and lifecycle management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing needs and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support DFMA and DFT review and approvals.
  • Develop Test Plans with Systems and Design Engineers.
  • Develop Assembly Drawings with Design Engineers.
  • Write detailed Integration Procedures and Test Procedures.
  • Ensure readiness of parts, tooling, and consumables for integration or test operations.
  • Design ground support equipment, fixtures, and tooling for integration/test.
  • Hold Integration Readiness Reviews and Test Readiness Reviews.
  • Execute integration and test procedures.
  • Operate test facilities such as Shaker Tables and Thermal Vacuum Chambers.
  • Process Test Data and write Test Reports.
  • Provide labor and cost estimates for integration and test work.
  • Collaborate with engineers to understand test results.
  • Work with technicians and leadership across propulsion, thermal, mechanisms, electrical, and structural teams.
