Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector in Dulles, VA is seeking an Engineering Tech Support - Level 1 to join our team onsite. You will support Integration and Test of spacecraft components, interpreting wiring and assembly instructions, while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to obtain DoD Top-Secret clearance, and proficiency with MS Office. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work 2nd or 3rd shift, weekends, overtime, and travel

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Interpret detailed work instructions and complex engineering documentation.
• Assemble electromechanical and electronic components and assemblies.
• Support integration of spaceflight hardware with attention to detail, safety, and quality.
• Adhere to ISO processes, cleanroom protocols, hazardous material handling, and procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical assemblies and use of common hand tools and measuring devices.
• Communicate work status with management and engineers to resolve issues.
• Work within a diverse team and accept feedback from Safety and Quality personnel.
• Maintain organization, adaptability, and a proactive mindset for mission success.
