Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector seeks an Engineering Tech Support – Level 1 in Dulles, VA for hands-on assembly, testing, and integration of spacecraft components. This 100% onsite role will read job instructions, interpret engineering drawings, and perform tasks with a focus on quality and schedule adherence.

The successful candidate will work with engineers and leads, use standard tools and measuring devices, comply with ISO processes and cleanroom protocols, and be willing to travel up to 25%

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; related experience optional.

Responsibilities

• Read work instructions and engineering drawings to execute tasks accurately.
• Assemble electromechanical and electronic components and subsystems with attention to safety and quality.
• Support integration of spaceflight hardware and document status for leadership.
• Adhere to ISO processes, cleanroom protocols, and hazardous material handling requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and shop leads to resolve technical issues promptly.
