Blue Origin LLC in Seattle is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to head the Mk1 Vehicle Electrical Harness Design team. You will develop wiring interconnect diagrams, harness assembly drawings, and installation drawings, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver safe, cost-effective harness solutions for spaceflight.

You will own the harness scope from development through production, manage risk, schedule, and cost, and drive improvements in processes while mentoring engineers and ensuring

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading teams to deliver harness or complex engineering subsystems.
• B.S. in a technical field as listed.
• Design for manufacturability experience and strong project management.
• Strong communication across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Own harness scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables to meet objectives.
• Identify and manage technical and programmatic risks and opportunities.
• Track harness team progress, schedule, and hardware cost.
• Develop data framework to inform project metrics.
• Lead process improvements and technical plans aligned to requirements.
• Oversee lifecycle from development to production for MK1 harness scope.
• Support design configurations and trade studies.
• Assist assembly and testing of cables and harnesses.
• Provide people leadership including talent development and performance management.
