Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced harness design engineer to lead electrical harness work for the Mk1 Vehicle Electrical Harness Design team. You’ll develop wiring interconnect diagrams, 3D routed harness data, and installation drawings to support safe, repeatable spaceflight.

The role requires Creo, Zuken or Windchill proficiency, familiarity with IPC/WHMA and NASA standards, and a background in aerospace harness design. WA-based site with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years designing Wire Harnesses for Aerospace.
• Familiar with Creo, Zuken or Windchill; capable with high-end CAD routing tools.
• Understand wire derating analyses and applicable harness standards (IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4).
• Strong 3-D CAD design and integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical harnesses for power, RF, and high-speed data.
• Create Wiring diagrams using Zuken E3 and 3D routed harness files in Creo.
• Develop harness assembly and installation drawings, 3D and 2D.
• Provide hardware installation guidance and support testing.
• Contribute to trade studies and technical status reporting.
