Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Staff Electrical Systems Engineer to own a spacecraft CDH subsystem, overseeing selection, integration, qualification and delivery of critical flight electronics. The role involves coordinating with electrical architects, hardware/software/mechanical teams and external suppliers to ensure mission requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of spacecraft/electronics experience.
• Strong knowledge of digital electronics and avionics.
• Experience owning hardware through development and delivery.
• Experience with flight computers and onboard networks.
• Experience with supplier interaction and trade studies.
• Understanding of qualification and environmental testing.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical delivery of the spacecraft CDH subsystem from requirements through qualification and delivery.
• Define subsystem architecture, interfaces and hardware requirements with electrical architects.
• Lead make-versus-buy assessments and technical trade studies for avionics hardware.
• Evaluate and select COTS electronic units including flight computers and switches.
• Manage relationships with hardware suppliers, supporting procurement, testing and delivery.
• Coordinate integration of multiple units into a fully functioning spacecraft subsystem.
• Collaborate across electrical, mechanical, software and systems teams to resolve issues.
• Oversee hardware verification, environmental qualification, integration and acceptance testing.
• Support engineering reviews, risk management and technical decision-making through lifecycle.
