Job summary

Leidos in Dayton, OH, seeks a TS/SCI-cleared Mechanical Modeling Engineer to support NSIC at Wright-Patterson AFB. You will build detailed 3-D CAD models of foreign spacecraft, covering external configuration, subsystems, antenna and solar panel motion, and materials descriptions.

You will collaborate with military, government, and contractor teams to deliver high-confidence analyses and models that meet client standards and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 2+ years.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• 2+ years of experience with SolidWorks, NX, Catia or similar 3D CAD.
• Industry or government experience in 3D CAD/CAE.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work individually and with teams.

Responsibilities

• Construct highly detailed 3-D CAD models of multiple foreign spacecraft.
• Draft notional capabilities of satellite components.
• Model components or entire vehicles.
• Produce high confidence answers to problems of interest on space systems.
• Perform all-source intelligence research, analysis, and assessments with Intelligence Community tradecraft standards.
