Job summary

Leidos seeks a Mechanical Modeling Engineer to support NSIC at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH. You will build detailed 3-D CAD models of foreign spacecraft, draft satellite component capabilities, and model entire vehicles to assess space system configurations.

Collaboration with military and government teams is essential for high-confidence results. The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree with 4+ years (or 2+ years with a Master’s), and a current TS/SCI clearance, plus extensive

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 4+ years of experience, or Master’s with 2+ years.
Active TS/SCI clearance.
2+ years with SolidWorks, NX, Catia, or similar 3D CAD software.
Experience in 3D CAD/CAE and ability to work independently or on a team.

Responsibilities

Construct detailed 3-D CAD models of foreign spacecraft.
Draft notional capabilities of satellite components.
Model components or entire vehicles and assess static/dynamic characteristics.
Produce high-confidence answers to space systems problems and support IC tradecraft.
