Leidos is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Mechanical Modeling Engineer to support the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) at Wright‑Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. The role focuses on constructing intricate 3‑D CAD models of foreign spacecraft, including layout of subsystems, antenna and solar panel motion, and materials descriptions, in industry standards formats for client use.

You will collaborate with military, government, and contractor teams to deliver high-confidence space system analyses,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of experience or Master’s with 2+ years; additional experience considered.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 2+ years with SolidWorks, NX, Catia or similar 3D CAD software.
• Industry or government experience in 3D CAD/CAE.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Construct highly detailed 3‑D CAD models of multiple foreign spacecraft.
• Draft notional capabilities of satellite components.
• Model components or entire vehicles.
• Produce high confidence answers to problems of space systems.
• Perform all-source intelligence research and assessments per IC standards.
