Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA is seeking a Spacecraft Design CAD and Mechanical Design Engineer to translate engineering intent into production-ready CAD models, drawings, and BOMs within NX and Teamcenter. You will work in a multidisciplinary team across mechanical, thermal, electrical, and manufacturing disciplines to deliver spacecraft-class hardware.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
3+ years CAD experience in complex mechanical/electro-mechanical assemblies.
1+ years designing with complex interactions and constraints.
Experience interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

Create, iterate, and manage CAD designs for large spacecraft system databases.
Produce drawings and BOMs aligned with Leo standards and GD&T.
Manage CAD BOM lifecycle across Teamcenter from design to manufacturing release.
Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, electrical, and manufacturing teams.
Interface with suppliers for CAD data and procurement-ready packages.
Support producibility reviews and design-data integrity within PLM.
Maintain organized CAD databases and naming conventions for scalability.
