Job summary

Amazon Leo is a Mechanical Design Engineer role focused on translating engineering intent into production-ready CAD models and BOMs for spacecraft systems. You will work within Siemens NX and Teamcenter in a multidisciplinary environment to drive design accuracy and data integrity.

The position emphasizes lifecycle management, GD&T, and collaboration with suppliers and multiple engineering disciplines to enable rapid satellite development in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 1+ years of engineering experience
• 3+ years of CAD experience in complex mechanical/electro-mechanical assemblies
• 1+ years of experience with complex mechanical designs and constraints
• 1+ years of interfacing with a range of engineering disciplines

Responsibilities

• CAD Design Creation & Management for spacecraft system databases
• Drawing Production & Release with GD&T best practices
• BOM Lifecycle Management through Teamcenter
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration across mechanical, thermal, electrical, structural, manufacturing, metrology, tooling, assembly, and test
• Supplier & Vendor Interface for CAD data packages
• Manufacturing Source Review to optimize producibility
• Configuration Control and revision management within PLM
• Database Organization: naming and file management standards
