Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced CAD drafter/designer to develop production and test tooling for rocket hardware. You will own the model and drawing lifecycle, turning Tooling Engineering designs into release-ready NX models, assemblies, and ASME Y14.5 drawings, ensuring first-pass CN review.

You will produce detailed drawings and coordinates using MBD where required, adhering to NX conventions and CAD/PDM standards while collaborating with tooling, stress, and manufacturing teams to

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional CAD modeling and drafting experience in mechanical tooling.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX for parts, assemblies, and drawings; GD&T know‑how.
• Experience with Model Based Definition (MBD) and PMI in NX; engineering change control.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and release NX models and drawings for production tooling.
• Create fabrication and assembly drawings per ASME Y14.5 and internal standards.
• Apply MBD and embed PMI on NX models where required.
• Maintain NX conventions and CM requirements; shepherd changes through CN release.
• Detail tooling like fixtures, rotisseries, weldments, and environmental chambers.
• Collaborate with engineers to incorporate design changes and interfaces.
