Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Avionics Technician to support design, build, integration, and testing of spacecraft avionics and electrical systems. You will work with Avionics and Electrical Engineers to develop flight hardware, ground support equipment, and mission-critical electrical systems from initial assembly through launch and on-orbit operations.

Qualifications

• AA or AS in Electrical Engineering or 3+ years industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with electrical assembly and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fabricate, test, and maintain electrical and electronic hardware for spacecraft and ground systems.
• Build and inspect flight-quality cable harnesses, connectors, PCB assemblies, and electromechanical systems.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of electrical components and circuitry.
• Execute electrical testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Support integration, qualification, and environmental testing of avionics and electrical systems.
• Interpret schematics, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to ensure hardware is built to specification.
• Document assembly processes, test results, nonconformances, and engineering changes.
• Support procurement, inventory management, and handling of aerospace-grade materials and hardware.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, manufacturing procedures, and quality requirements for flight hardware.
