Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Vehicle Integration Manufacturing Engineer to translate engineering intent into scalable, safe manufacturing steps for AI&T and final assembly of the Blue Ring spacecraft at scale. You will liaison among design, test operations, quality, and manufacturing to ensure on-time, compliant integration of flight hardware.

The role emphasizes DFMA improvements, GD&T application, and documentation control, with a shift schedule on A-Shift and relocation optional for Huntsville,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university
• 0–3 years → Level 1 Manufacturing Engineer; 3+ years → Level 2; 5+ → Level 3; 8+ → Senior Manufacturing Engineer
• 1+ years of experience creating English-language work instructions
• Must be available to work A-Shift (M–TH, 5:00AM–3:30PM) with flexibility to adjust shift and extended hours

Responsibilities

• Support AI&T and final vehicle assembly activities on A-Shift, including hands-on engagement during vehicle buildup and subsystem mate operations
• Translate engineering intent into functional flight hardware and manufacturing steps
• Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions covering full integration flow
• Identify and resolve floor issues and disposition non-conformances with corrective actions
• Create redlines and recommend engineering changes to improve assembly sequences and interfaces
• Review engineering drawings and approve manufacturing documentation
• Conduct FMEA with emphasis on risk reduction and test readiness gates
• Drive DFMA improvements across integration lifecycle including tooling enhancements
• Collaborate with Test Operations, Systems Engineering, Quality, and Design Engineering to ensure readiness for milestones
• Support shift turnover with proper documentation and configuration tracking
• Ensure work aligns with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards
