Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA seeks a Senior Space Vehicle Systems Engineer to join the Space Systems Engineering Division. You will support acquisition of next‑gen space vehicle systems for US Space Force, NASA, NOAA and commercial customers, leading studies and reviews.

The role requires advanced engineering education, ability to work on multi-disciplinary teams, strong communication, and willingness to travel domestically.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in engineering or relevant discipline
• 0-1 year of industry work experience
• Experience on multi-disciplinary engineering teams
• Ability to travel domestically on occasion
• Willingness to obtain security clearance (US citizenship required)
• Transcripts required for the position

Responsibilities

• Provide space vehicle systems engineering support for customer programs focusing on US Space Force
• Lead and participate in multidisciplinary studies to assess space system designs
• Evaluate feasibility of designs during milestone reviews (PDR, CDR)
• Develop subject matter expertise to support customer programs
• Build relationships with government, programs offices, and contractor personnel
• Duties may evolve with organizational needs
