Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Space Vehicle EMI/EMC/ESD Systems Engineer to join the EMI/EMC Test & Analysis Team at NASA JSC in Houston, TX. You will apply EMI/EMC and ESD expertise to ISS, Orion, and Moon Base programs, performing grounding/shielding analyses and planning system-level tests.

The role requires strong communication, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and proven experience in electromagnetics and ESD risk mitigation in orbit environments. U.S.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Physics with electromagnetics focus.
  • Minimum 5 years EMI/EMC design and test experience including RF design and ESD analysis.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, RTCA/DO-160, NASA-STD-4003.
  • Knowledge of EMC testing and spacecraft charging in orbit environments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EMI/EMC and ESD considerations.
  • Lead failure investigations and recommend design changes or requirement tailoring.
  • Participate in design reviews, test readiness reviews, and program reviews.
  • Develop EMI test plans and perform high-voltage discharge and ESD characterization testing.
  • Lead ESD requirements across projects and evaluate material charge characteristics.
