Job summary
CesiumAstro in Maryland is seeking a Principal EMI/EMC Engineer II to lead EMI/EMC initiatives for space systems, including spacecraft and ground support equipment. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics, Physics, or related field.
- 11+ years of EMI/EMC engineering experience, preferably in space, aerospace, or defense.
- Deep knowledge of EMI/EMC standards (MIL-STD-461, DO-160, ECSS) and test equipment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EMI/EMC control plans across space systems.
- Guide design teams on EMI/EMC considerations to meet standards.
- Plan and conduct EMI/EMC testing per MIL-STD-461, DO-160, ECSS.
- Model fields with CST/ANSYS HFSS to predict interference.
- Prepare reports, compliance matrices, and design guidelines.
- Lead initiatives to improve EMI/EMC practices and mentor junior engineers.
