Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Baltimore, MD seeks a Thermal Design and Analysis Engineer – Level 2 to join our Space Sector. This on-site role supports design, analysis and test of space hardware across antennas, sensors and electronics, involving concept through hardware integration on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

You will work with senior thermal staff, perform steady state and transient analyses, build system and subassembly models, present at design reviews, and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of professional experience or Master’s with 0 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
• Onsite daily work at Linthicum, MD (Baltimore) facility.
• Experience with thermal analysis software or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform steady state and transient thermal analyses of components and assemblies.
• Create system-level and subassembly thermal models for evaluation.
• Support design reviews with technical input and data presentations.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Assist with test planning, execution, and troubleshooting thermal issues.
• Provide guidance on thermal design verification and integration.
